Did you know we are providing invaluable support with The Frank Bruno Foundation in mental health strategies and training
Our Managing Director, Ellen Dalton is passionate about metal health and its impact. Ellen, has been giving up her time to support Tuesday sessions with the FBF team, as a qualified mental health tutor and strategy support. Ellen has also dedicated our training team time to provide and support training for the Frank Bruno Foundation in ‘Full RQF level 1, 2 & 3 qualifications across Mental Health Qualified First Aider; Supervising and Managing the Mental Health process; First Aid; Safeguarding of Children, Young Persons & Vulnerable Adults and many more’ – Together we are making a difference. Ellen has opened up this training to the volunteers at the centre too. There is much more work we are undertaking in support which we will share at a later date.
From Ellen…
Being able to support and give back is vitally important for me and it comes from the heart. I have seen and continue to see the vital work that the Frank Bruno Foundation provides, does truly change lives. Where other programs have perhaps failed with attendees the FBF are channelling healthy mind and body with support and education in mental health that is having a positive impact across all ages and from all walks of life. I have seen self-doubt turn into self-belief; lack of confidence turn in to confidence; withdrawn and worried about interaction turn into smiles and new friends. Realising self-worth, that we are all important and we all have value in this life, changes lives.
If it is within your ability to make change happen, to support someone or something in need, to give, even if that is just a smile, it can still change someone’s day, then do it’.
Did you know?
The Frank Bruno Foundation was set up in 2017 to provide a safe environment for young people with mental health issues. Subsequently, they have added a programme for older people who need help managing their mental health whilst continuing to work.
The Foundation is working with people of all ages and backgrounds, and from all walks of life that we are proud & humbled to support as individuals and as a company. Children as young as 10 years old are being supported by this vital Foundation and so many lives are being changed by what they deliver, creating a positive impact and changing the perception of poor mental health stigma.
Round to Round’ and Stay-in-Work Programmes
Both the ‘round to round’ and ‘stay in work’ programmes are supported by their ‘wrap around’ programme which seeks to understand the issues being faced, manage the programme and maintain contact after the programme has ended. They really never close the door.
We will be sharing the many ways we are supporting on our ongoing journey with The Frank Bruno Foundation and we will also be fundraising at different times throughout the year to ensure that the foundation can raise further vital funds to expand their offerings and support to the wider communities in England, Wales & Northern Ireland. The Foundation is truly saving and changing lives.
