CAT & Genny Course (Cable Avoidance Tool & Signal Generator)
Our 1-day CAT (Cable Avoidance Tool) and Genny (Signal Generator) course provides essential training in the safe and effective use of underground service locator machines. Designed for operatives across various industries, this CAT an& Genny course ensures that participants can accurately locate and avoid underground utilities, thereby minimizing the risk of accidents and costly damages during excavation.
During the course, we use equipment such as the RD8200 and Radio Detection e C.A.T 4+ for practical demonstrations. If your team uses different models, please provide these details in advance, and we will incorporate them into the training to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
The course is ideal for professionals working in industries such as construction, engineering, rail, utilities, water, and many others where accurate detection of underground services is crucial. Participants will learn how to operate CAT and Genny tools to detect and map out underground utilities safely, which is vital for preventing damage to cables and pipes during excavation work.
Course Aim:
To equip candidates with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on skills required for the safe use of underground service locators and signal generators. By the end of the course, attendees will have a solid understanding of best practices for using CAT and Genny equipment, enhancing their ability to safely manage and navigate around underground services in their respective fields.
