What is ISO 14068-1?
ISO 14068-1:2023 is a valued investment in any business. The standard is recognized globally and provides principles, requirements, and guidance for achieving and demonstrating carbon neutrality. It focuses on quantifying, reducing, and offsetting carbon footprints, utilizing a hierarchical approach prioritizing direct and indirect GHG emission reductions and removal enhancements within the value chain over offsetting.
This ISO standard can be used in harmony with other GHG and carbon emission verification frameworks (e.g. ISO 14064-1) by providing a recognized, auditable process of the quantification process to produce an accurate total of the organization’s GHG emissions, and then continuing on to genuine carbon neutrality and low carbon emission activities for the organization.
